Green Company at european level
The way we produce and consume, contributes to global warming, pollution, raw material use, and natural resource depletion. Companies that operate in an environmentally responsible way contribute to create a better quality of the environment. But what does it mean to be a green company nowadays? It´s not just offering few green products and services to customers who ask for them, but rather moving beyond what the law requires to operate in an environmentally responsible way, taking into account cross sectoral issues such as natural resources consumption and eco innovative production processes. The industrial sector was the first target of European environmental regulation and this is also why this sector actually made more progress in reducing its environmental impact than areas such as household consumption and private transport.
The radio campaign will look at best practices of Europe´s manufacturing industry, and provide consumers with more knowledge on how companies optimise their production processes, reduce environmental impacts and make use of resources in a more effective way.
